SERVETTE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB
SERVETTE FCCF RETURNS TO TROIS-CHÊNE
On June 1, 2019, Servette FCCF ended its first season in the LNA with a 2-1 victory against FC Basel. This victory also marked the end of an era since the Servettiennes played their last match there at the Stade des Trois-Chêne. They then moved to Balexert before experiencing success at the Stade de la Fontenette in Carouge. Starting this season, SFCCF matches will once again be played at the Stade des Trois-Chêne, where the Club’s history began.
Indeed, since 1974, a women’s section of CS Chênois has been created and this is how women’s football was born on the side of the three municipalities. It was only in 2017 that the team joined the Servette FC banner and became Servette FC Chênois Féminin. Since then, the Servettiennes have become Swiss champions twice (2021 and 2024) and they have also won the Swiss Cup twice (2023 and 2024). The SFCCF has one of the best training centers for young players, a training center that had never left the Stade des Trois-Chêne. So it is once again on the same field that an entire Club meets!
Women’s football is becoming more professional year after year and there were many opportunities to grow on the side of the grouping of the three municipalities: new facilities, stable and adapted training schedules, administrative offices and a new fitness room. The local authorities and the facility managers share the same enthusiasm as the SFCCF for the team’s return to its roots.
Yoann Brigante, President of Servette FCCF: “We would like to warmly thank the authorities of the group of three municipalities for their collaboration but also for their desire to bring Servette FCCF back to the Stade des Trois-Chêne! It is a golden opportunity for our Club to be able to play in facilities of this quality. The proximity to our academy will allow us to unite all our teams even more around our passion. Women’s football wants to become professional and we can enter another dimension by returning here. It is a great day for the SFCCF, Chêne-Bourg, Chêne-Bougeries and Thônex. »
Jean-Luc Boesiger, administrative advisor and vice-president: “Dear players, dear staff members, your return to the Trois-Chêne stadium is, for all those who have been committed to the development of women’s sport for years, a moment of celebration and we sincerely hope that a large audience will come to follow your 2024-2025 season at the Trois-Chêne stadium, ready to make this good old stand vibrate with their warm encouragement! We are proud to welcome you here at the Trois-Chêne stadium and warmly thank all the people who made this return home possible, through their work and commitment.”
