SERVETTE FCCF – FC AARAU WOMEN: GROWING UP
Servette FCCF hosts FC Aarau at the Stade des Trois-Chêne this Saturday at 3pm. After solid results against Rapperswil, OM and Young Boys, the Servettiennes must continue to grow in strength before trying to qualify for the Champions League.
José Barcala’s players have won two in a row in the league, three if we take the friendly match against Olympique de Marseille. If they have not yet found their best game, they nevertheless manage to be decisive and win the matches. Now, the Servettiennes must grow in strength because big deadlines are looming: the league match against Aarau this Saturday and the qualifying tournament for the Champions League next week. Servette FCCF will have to do everything possible to raise its level of play against the Aargoviennes in order to be ready for Europe.
FC Aarau Frauen has one win, one draw and one loss. The Swiss-Germans beat Basel (2-1) in particular while the Basel women are one of the teams in the running for the title. They can still count on last season’s revelation: goalkeeper Lorena Barth. Barely 17 years old, she showed all her talent despite her team’s lackluster season. The Geneva women have been warned, they will have to impose their game and not let themselves be surprised.
This match between Servette FCCF and FC Aarau Frauen will be played at the Stade des Trois-Chêne from 3 p.m. It is broadcast live on the Women’s Super League website.
