SERVETTE FACING POGON SZCZECIN IN THE 1ST ROUND!
Qualified in the “Champions’ path”, the Servettians will face Pogoń Szczecin in the 1st qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
After winning the title of Swiss Champions on May 26 against Zürich, Servette FC Chênois Féminin validated its ticket for the first qualifying round of the Champions League. As in 2021 and 2022, the Genevans will play a “mini-tournament”. The first round will pit them against Pogoń Szczecin, the reigning Polish Champions. Each group has four teams who play a semi-final in a dry match. The two winning teams play a final to qualify for the play-offs while the two losing teams play a classification match.
In the same group, the other poster will see AC PAOK facing Maccabi Kyriat Cat from Israel. In the event of a victory on September 4, the Servettians will face the winner of the other meeting a few days later, on September 7 to be precise. This final will see the winners advance to a final play-off to dream of the group stage.
The meetings are scheduled for September 4 and 7. The host of the tournament will be none other than our opponent Pogon Szczecin!
