GC ZÜRICH FRAUEN – SERVETTE FCCF: THE BEGINNING OF A LONG MONTH OF MARCH
After two weeks of international break, the championship returns for our Servettians who face GC tomorrow at 5 p.m.
The Servettians return to the championship this Saturday March 2 after an international break as well as qualification for the semi-final of the Swiss Cup on February 17. The Garnets travel to Niederhasli tomorrow to face GC. The first match of a series of six matches which awaits Jose Barcala and his team. Faced with an opponent who regularly causes them problems, the Grenat did the job at La Fontenette during the first round. A clear domination in the game for a final score of 3 to 1. However, despite a less flamboyant season as evidenced by the current 6th place of Zurich, nothing will be easy on the GC Campus side for Geneva.
Still undefeated this season, Jose Barcala’s protégés will aim to continue this unbeaten streak. With a month of March that promises to be long and perilous, the challenge is significant.
The matches will therefore follow one another in March for the Servettiiennes, with a first trip to Zurich before heading to the capital next weekend to face YB Frauen. Servette will then host Saint-Gall before crossing swords at the Swissporarena for the Swiss Cup semi-finals against Lucerne on March 20. The reception in Basel on March 23 and a trip to Thun a week later will conclude this marathon.
