SERVETTE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB
FIRST INTERNATIONAL TRUCE OF THE YEAR
For the first truce of 2024, eight Servettians are summoned by their selection. Update on the situation.
Mauron with the nati, Muratovic with the U19s
For this gathering, the new coach Pia Sundhage decided to summon Sandrine Mauron, a regular at international meetings with the women’s Nati. The Swiss missed their chance during the very first Women’s Nations League. Switzerland will play two matches against the Polish selection at the Marbella Football Center on February 23 and 27 at 5 p.m.
On the U19 side, Amina Muratovic is once again called up to face the Belgium U19s in a double confrontation on February 23 and 26 respectively at 4 p.m. and 3 p.m. in Tubize in Belgium.
Inês Pereira and Joana Marchão with Portugal
As you don’t change a winning team, Francisco Neto summons Inês Pereira and Joana Marchão for the Portugal rally. The Portuguese did not manage to progress to the next stage of the League of Nations during the last meeting and find themselves, just like the Nati players, in League B. They will play two friendly matches in this meeting, the first will take place on February 21 at 7:15 p.m. against the Czech Republic and the second meeting will be played on February 27 at 7:15 p.m. against the South Korean national team. Both matches will be played at the António Coimbra da Mota stadium in Lisbon.
Jelencic with Croatia, Cutura in U19
Important meetings for Ana Jelencic, summoned as usual with the Croatian selection for two play-off matches counting for the League of Nations. Jelencic and Croatia will play a double confrontation with a view to a potential qualification in League A on February 23 and 27 against Norway.
Gabriela Cutura, the club’s young goalkeeper, is one of the players selected for Croatia’s under-19s. The young Croatians will participate in two friendly matches against Slovenia on February 21 and 23, both at noon in Koper in Slovenia.
Pre-Olympic tournament for Nakkach and Saoud
Imane Saoud and Elodie Nakkach are once again part of the Moroccan selection for this gathering. The Atlas Lionesses are participating in the CAF pre-Olympic tournament in a double confrontation against their Tunisian rivals. First leg in the town of Soliman in Tunisia on February 23 at 2:30 p.m. and return match in Rabat on February 28 at 7 p.m.
