On the Zürich side, the Genevans validated their ticket for the quarter-finals by defeating FC Schlieren with a score of 4 to 0.
This Sunday at Zelgli near Zurich, Servette and Schlieren competed for a place in the quarter-finals of the Swiss Cup next February. In the previous round, the Servettians brilliantly won with a 9-0 score against Lausanne-Sport. On the Zürich side, the Genevans delayed a little before opening the scoring with a superb free kick from Elodie Nakkach before Tufo doubled the lead a few minutes later.
After a controlled first half of the game (2-0), the Servettians did not leave Zurich’s side with a chance by hitting the nail on the head with Mendes then Korhonen to finish with the final score of 4-0. This news great performance by the Garnets, in drizzly weather, allows them to reach the quarter-final of the Swiss Cup which will be played on the weekend of February 17, 2024.
