SERVETTE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB
FC LUZERN FRAUEN – SERVETTE FCCF 0-7 (0-3)
On paper, the Servettiennes were obviously the big favourites for this match. Luzern Frauen, a 1st league resident, still fought hard with their weapons. The Lucernoises had the merit of not refusing the game, even attempting certain construction phases for the greatest pleasure of the spectators. However, the stakes seemed almost already over after Paula Serrano opened the score after only 40 short seconds of play. The Lucernoises will have, as their only and best opportunity, this bar just after the opening score. Warned, the Servettiennes will no longer give any gifts and will score two new goals by Lázaro and Serrano before the break.
After the locker room, it is in the Lucerne camp that most of the game will take place. The Servettiennes will continue to pile up chances but will come up against either the posts or an attentive Lucerne goalkeeper. Patient, the Genevans will widen the gap several times just after the hour mark. Saoud, Simonsson, El Ghazouanj and Korhonen will go from their goal to seal the victory.
The Servettiennes are therefore taking a first step towards retaining their title and reaching the 8th finals of the Swiss Cup! The Servettiennes will know their future opponent this Wednesday around 12 noon.
For the rest, the Servettiennes will travel to Zurich next Saturday at 6 p.m. to face Grasshopper!
